🎤 5 questions with Stella Lavinia from Milagro
Instagram account worth following: @katebellm and @espaniolita_net for balearic inspiration. Kate's photography is powerful! I love the beauty, pureness and the vintage feel that are appearing in each of her images. Espanolita perfectly reflects the Spanish lifestyle and the magic of the Balearics.
Favorite place to swim: When I was a kid growing up on the island, my family always used to take me to Platja Formentor Beach on our boat. I have so many fantastic memories, so whenever I back there in the ocean I am definitely in my happy place. I love how the pine trees meet the shore, truly romantic!
A place worth eating at: Where to start? There are so many places, I always love to visit new restaurants all around the island, the places that I just can't get enough of though are:
Patiki, Soller Beach - Incredibly fresh, only seasonal, locally sourced produced in a dreamy location right on the beach. My current favourite.
Rikito, Palma - When I am craving carbs, there is nowhere better. They have a small menu delivered perfectly. Both the pizzas and pasta dishes and indulgent and delicious every single time!
El Camino, Palma - With Covid restrictions the restaurant was sadly closed for a number of months as they don't have outdoor seating. I am very happy that they are now open again! It makes me feel as though I am in a vibrant city bistro here. The exposed kitchen and bar seating gives you a front row to all the action!
Sa MoLa 13, Sineu - This is my local weekend brunch spot. Great food and atmosphere. The interior is creative and well-executed. The owner is a keen cyclist, so you are often sat here with groups of passionate people from all over the world who have come to cycle all over the island.
Who is making a product we should know about: There are a few companies and products I would highly recommend, what's great is that more and more people are starting to create products locally. My friend Bella owns a sustainable upcoming swim wear brand called Bella Sol (@BellaSolSwim) which people should definitely check out. My friend Gabriela is creating very unique pieces with traditional vintage fabric and sheep wool from the island @gaadart. Her pieces are art! @by.nicita is making wonderful ceramics some include little quote or messages "Il dolce far niente".
Best month of the year in Mallorca: October!
