Instagram account worth following: I work hard on trying to minimise my time on social media but, as an avid practitioner of yoga (20+ years), I would recommend Zaira Leal (Yoga and Ayurveda). If you want the best teacher that I know of on the island, hands down, this is the place to go and I know a bit about teaching having been a recruiter of teachers worldwide for 22 years.

Favorite place to swim: Playa de Muro. All the way at the end by the green zone because it reminds me so much of my beloved Caribbean and Jamaica. Stunning water and and the vista of the bay is amazing. Sant Elm beach with its crystal clear waters and stunning view of Isla Dragonera and the little coves just below Sa Trapa.

A place worth eating at: Santosha Cafe in Palma. Eran, Ruth and the team are serving wonderful creative food from the heart that never disappoints and the postres….yum. I am a foodie and this is my go to place. Sa Farinera just past the airport for the most authentic and best grill on Mallorca IMHO. La Mujer de Verde for those who love green eating. Plaça de la Porta de Santa Catalina.

Who is making a product we should know about:

  • The Bees - Local honey and especially the honey from Llubi. It makes me think of the honey from Bucks County, PA in the US where I am from. It boosts your immune system and helps with allergies.

  • Cachao Raw Chocolate Factory. If you like chocolate this is the place to go.

  • Rosa Blanca for those who like a Hoppy Lager.

Best month of the year in Mallorca: Tough one…there are a few. Late September and October for the cooler evenings and May and early June. If I was a tourist this is when I would want to come.
